ABOUT US
KURD-KAV - Kurdish Culture and Research Foundation was established in 1992 with the initiative of 98 intellectuals, writers and politicians.
After its establishment, it struggled legally for registration for 5 years. Our foundation was registered by the high court in 1996 and gained official status.
KURD-KAV founded by kurdish intellectuals, and it is has title of being Turkey's first kurdish institution that was registered with the name of "Kurdish" by the high court.
Although our foundation was founded by people who are mostly politicians, it does not have the characteristics of a political institution. The purpose of its establishment is to make scientific researches on Kurdish culture, art and literature, to have them made and to record them by making collections, to make them available to the public and to keep them alive.
In addition, it is to serve the improvement and enrichment of living spaces by working on different areas of life.
